Day 2: Explore Giza Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis

Giza Pyramids Complex:
The complex of Giza Pyramids is an epic creation, established to immortalize the legacy of the 4th dynasty who ascended to the country’s throne during the time of the Old Kingdom.
This prominent site is adorned by the three legendary pyramids which acted as the timeless tombs of the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure.
The Great Pyramid:
The Great Pyramid is the finest representation for the striking legacy of King Cheops (2609-2584 BC) and one of the largest structure on earth. The pyramid itself is a living miracle, showcasing the brilliance of the ancient Egyptian architects.
The Khufu’s pyramid took 20 years to be completed in 2570 BC and it utilized 100,000 skilled workers during the erection process.
The Great Sphinx:
The Sphinx, devoted to Pharaoh Khafre (2558-2532 BC), is a glorious symbol of force and wisdom.
This incredible creature carries the facial description of the pharaoh, carved entirely of limestone on a massive lion, which measures 20 meters in height and 73 meters in length.
The Valley Temple:
The Valley Temple is a mythical monument and the best-preserved treasures of the Giza Plateau.
The site was used as a funerary temple, where the rulers of the Old Kingdom were mummified and prepared for life after death and the site was used to hold the rituals, which were related to the royal burial process.
You proceed to enjoy an appetizing lunch at a restaurant and you head to witness:
Saqqara Step Pyramid:
Saqqara Pyramid is the first cut-stone construction built in Egypt during the 27th century, which was planned by Imhotep, the brilliant architect.
The site is devoted to King Djoser, who ruled the country during the reign of the 3rd dynasty. This incredibly limestone attraction highlights six gradual steps where the mummy of the pharaoh and his belongings were kept for many thousands of years.
Memphis City:
Memphis was the first Egyptian capital city in 3200 BC and where the Egyptian Civilization was born. King Narmer had founded the city after he unified the Upper and Lower Egypt to be the ruling headquarter due to its majestic location.
Besides its administrative significance, the city had been used as an important center for worshipping the god Ptah.
After a busy day of sightseeing, you will get back to our hotel for a night’s sleep in Cairo.

Day 3: Fly to Sharm El Sheikh – Check in hotel
On the 3rd day of your Cairo, Alexandria & Sharm El Sheikh Holiday, enjoy a delicious breakfast before checking out. Your driver will then transfer you to Cairo Airport to catch a short domestic flight to Sharm El Sheikh.
Upon arrival, your private driver will meet you at the terminal and take you to our excellent 5-star hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh.

Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque:
The Mosque of Amr Ibn Al-Aas is the oldest mosque in Africa, which was founded by General Amr Ibn Al-Aas who was one of the first companions of the Prophet Mohammed in 641 AD.
Ben Ezra Synagogue:
Ben Ezra is the oldest Synagogue and the most popular Jewish symbol in Egypt. The synagogue was the main center of worship and many relgious celebrations and prayers for Coptic and Jewish as well.
It was named after Abraham Ibn Ezra who was a Jewish religious scholar and philosopher.
The Hanging Church:
The Hanging Church is one of the best-preserved Christian places in Egypt. The church took its name because it was built on the southern gate of the Roman Fortress. It's a unique monument and has a wooden roof taking the shape of Noah's ark.
Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar:
Khan El Khalili Bazaar is the oldest shopping center in the Middle East and the best-known souk in the region which was established between 1382 and 1389 AD.
The bazzar is where you will be in a face-to-face contact with the locals while you enjoy wandering among the wonderful cafes, shops of carpets, oils, species, papyrus and more

The Citadel of Qaitbay:
Qaitbey Citadel is one of the most significant defensive fortresses on the coast of the Mediterranean.
Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr Qaitbay ordered the building of the citadel on the ruins of the old lighthouse of Alexandria on the eastern end of Pharos Island to protect Alexandria from any foreigner aggressor.

Kom El-Shoqafa Catacombs:
The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are considered one of the best archaeological sites located in Alexandria.
They were discovered in the early 20th century and it’s one of the largest Roman burial sites, these tombs were carved into bedrock at the time of Emperor Antoninus, in the 2nd century AD.
The Pompey's Pillar:
Pompey's Pillar is an architectural marvel located among the ruins of the Serapeum in the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria. It is one of the greatest places of antiquity.
The Serapeum was an ancient Greek temple that was built during the reign of the Ptolemaic kingdom in Egypt and was dedicated to the new deity venerated in Alexandria and throughout Egypt, Serapis who was believed to be the protector of Alexandria.
