Day 1: Arrive to Egypt – Sound and Light Show

Start your 9 Days Egypt Tour in Cairo, Alexandria & Nile Cruise.

Once you arrive at Cairo Airport, one of our representatives will be meeting you up inside the terminal to help you finish all your passport and luggage formalities and your private driver will then transport you to a deluxe 5-star hotel in Cairo to check-in.

Day 2: Marvelous Trip to Pyramids and Saqqara

After breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide picks you up in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to witness:

The Valley Temple:

The Valley Temple is a valuable archaeological vessel of brilliance. It stands side by side with the Giza Pyramids and was established by Khafre (2558-2532 BC).

The site held most of the mummification processes during the 4th dynasty's reign and was the main center for many religious ceremonies and rites.

Stepped Pyramid of Saqqara:

Pharaoh Djoser (2686-2648 BC) assigned his brilliant vizier, Imhotep, to erect Saqqara, the first pyramid ever in Ancient Egypt. This magical structure was a key to a new image of architectural innovation.

The pyramid of Saqqara consists of six gradual steps with a length of 63 meters and it became the final resting place of the pharaoh.

 

Memphis City:

Memphis City is a significant archaeological monument. It came into existence by King Menes, who united Upper and Lower Egypt in 3200 BC.

This glorious city was under the protection of God Ptah, the god of creation and craftsmanship, and it gained its significance as the oldest Egyptian capital in history.

Day 3: Travel to Aswan – Embark 5-Star Nile Cruise

Shortly after your today’s breakfast, you will checkout and we will then drive you to the airport to catch your domestic flight for Aswan. Next, you’ll join one of our expert guides to visit three of fascinating Aswan sites including:

The High Dam:

Aswan High Dam is a huge engineering feat that positively affected the Egyptian economy.

This enigmatic structure came into existence during the 1960s to protect Egyptian monuments against floods and control the flow of the Nile. Then, it became a valuable generator of electricity for the whole country.

 

Philae Temple:

The epic Philae Temple is an enchanting model of divine architecture and mythology, which was the honest narrator of the most significant story in Ancient Egypt.

This glorious site is one of the best-preserved religious temples on earth, which belongs to Isis, the goddess of motherhood.

The temple is famous for its majestic works of art, which came into existence between 380 and 360 BC during the Hellenistic period.

 

The Unfinished Obelisk:

Unfinished Obelisk would have been the largest single stone monument in history.

However, it was never finished. The site was established by the order of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to be the finest example of the Egyptian craftsmanship in building the obelisks and it was abandoned due to some cracks in the rocks.

Kom Ombo is one of the most striking monuments in all of Southern Egypt, which has a double temple complex.

This epic temple, which was erected between 237 BC and 57 BC to glorify the double deities of Horus the elder and Sobek, the crocodile god, displays the most beautiful artistic architecture through the walls and columns.

 

Next, you get back to your Nile ship to continue cruising to Edfu and enjoy your lunch and dinner on the ship. Overnight onboard.

Queen Hatshepsut Temple:

Among Egypt's most impressive and most visited landmarks is the mortuary temple Hatshepsut had built for herself and her father.

This mortuary temple is not simply a tomb that would have housed Hatshepsut's body, but a huge complex for celebrations and rituals, which also houses small shrines for some of Egypt's ancient gods.

 

Valley of the Kings:

The Valley of the Kings played a central role in ancient Egypt's religion and mythology. This site served as a burial place for pharaohs of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties.

Among the most famous is the tomb of Tutankhamun, the young pharaoh who became famous for the British archaeologist Howard Carter's discovery of his intact tomb in 1922.

 

Colossi of Memnon:

The Colossi of Memnon were built to defend the entrance to Amenhotep III's mortuary temple and to symbolize the pharaoh's power and brilliance.

Their majestic presence dominated the skyline, with each statue reaching a height of over 18 meters.

The Egyptian Museum displays some sort of allure and bliss in which many hundreds of relics, artifacts, statues and valuable possessions are related to the best-known rulers and kings of Egypt.

It boasts a massive collection of more than 120,000 genuine pieces of artifacts, jewelry, papyrus and sarcophagus from different ages of Egyptian history.

 

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization:

The Hanging Church:

The Hanging Church is the oldest and best known Coptic highlights in Egypt, which came into existence in the 3rd century over the southern gates of the Fortress of Babylon.

Ben Ezra Synagogue:

Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar:

Khan El Khalili Bazaar is an ancient Mamluk bazaar which came into existence between 1382 and 1389 AD. The site is a good chance for a memorable shopping experience to purchase clothes, perfumes, papyrus, species.. etc.

Citadel of Qaitbay is one of the most renowned definitive castles situated on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, in Alexandria. Sultan Al- Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qaitbay was the one who ordered the construction of this everlasting fortress between 1477 and 1479 AD at the same place of the ancient Alexandria Lighthouse.

 

Library of Alexandria:

Alexandria Library is one of the oldest and the most significant scientific centers on earth. It was built by the successors of Alexander the Great.

It includes massive collections of books and documents, some of which date back more than 2000 years.

 

The Pompey's Pillar:

Pompey's Pillar is an ancient Roman masterpiece that decorates Alexandria. It is a victorious column of granite, set up between 298 and 302 AD to glorify Emperor Diocletian's establishments.

It's the only remaining monument still standing in its original shape and location in Alexandria.

 

Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa:

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa is a Roman underground burial site that combines the Pharaonic and Roman culture and architecture.

The site, which was made between the 2nd and 4th century, is also considered as one of the World Wonders of the Middle Ages.
