Day 1: Start our 5 Days Nile Cruise During Easter
5 Days Nile Cruise Holiday During Easter from Luxor to Aswan
with a smooth pick-up from Luxor Airport, railway station, or your hotel. You’ll be welcomed by one of our expert private guides and transferred to board your 5-star Nile cruise ship. Lunch will be served onboard as you settle in.
In the afternoon, your guide will accompany you to explore some of Luxor’s most iconic attractions:
Temple of Karnak:
One of the largest temple complexes ever built, Karnak spans over 23 hectares. It represents more than 22 centuries of continuous construction from the 20th century BC to the 2nd century AD, dedicated mainly to the Theban Triad: Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu.
Luxor Temple:
Constructed during the New Kingdom by pharaohs such as Tuthmosis III, Ramses II, and Amenhotep III, Luxor Temple was a significant center of religious festivals, particularly the Opet Festival. You’ll also walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes, a 500-meter-long processional path that once linked Luxor Temple to Karnak.
After the tour, return to your cruise ship for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay docked in Luxor.
Meals: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Allure the Hidden Gems in Luxor – Start Sailing
After breakfast onboard, prepare for a full day of exploration on Luxor’s West Bank, starting with:
Valley of the Kings:
The most renowned necropolis in Egypt, also known as the "Place of Truth," is home to 63 royal tombs belonging to New Kingdom pharaohs. You'll enter three tombs selected by your Egyptologist guide, chosen for their vivid wall inscriptions and symbolic depictions of the pharaohs’ journey to the afterlife.
Queen Hatshepsut Temple:
Built around 1480 BC, this impressive mortuary temple is dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut. Its unique design features three terraces connected by ramps, set against the dramatic cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Intricate carvings and traces of original colors can still be seen throughout the temple.
Colossi of Memnon:
These two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III once stood at the entrance to his now-lost mortuary temple. Standing at 18 meters high, they remain powerful symbols of the grandeur that once existed here.
After your tour, return to the cruise ship for lunch and begin sailing toward Edfu.
As the sun sets, enjoy a scenic moment as the cruise passes through the Esna Lock—an ideal time to relax with a cup of tea or coffee on the sundeck.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 3: Discover Edfu and Kom Ombo – Sail to Aswan
In the morning, you will visit:
Temple of Edfu:
Located on the west bank of the Nile, 120 km south of Luxor, the Temple of Edfu is one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temples. Built between 237 and 57 BC during the Greco-Roman era, it was dedicated to Horus, the falcon god of protection and victory.
Its towering pylon, the second tallest in Egypt, and richly inscribed walls reveal ancient rituals and mythology. The temple honors the divine triad of Horus, Hathor, and Ihy, with remains of the old city and priest residences still visible nearby.
After your tour, return to the cruise to enjoy lunch onboard as you sail toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, relax with tea on the sun deck while taking in the scenic Nile views.
Temple of Kom Ombo:
Kom Ombo Temple is uniquely dedicated to two gods—Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon-headed god. Its twin design features duplicate halls and sanctuaries for each deity.
Set just above the Nile, the temple still showcases vibrant reliefs. Nearby, the Crocodile Museum displays mummified crocodiles and related artifacts.
After the visit, return to the ship for dinner and continue sailing toward Aswan.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 4: Round Trip to Abu Simbel from Aswan
For those fascinated by ancient Egyptian culture and its remarkable architectural achievements, an early morning optional excursion to the incredible temples of Abu Simbel is available before breakfast.
Abu Simbel Temple:
Located in Nubia, southern Egypt, on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 280 km southwest of Aswan, Abu Simbel is one of Egypt’s most awe-inspiring ancient sites. This archaeological marvel consists of two massive rock-cut temples built during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC.
The temples were carved to honor Ramses II and his beloved queen, Nefertari, and to celebrate his victory in the Battle of Kadesh. Their purpose was not only religious but also political, intended to impress and intimidate Egypt’s southern neighbors.
In the 1960s, the temples were relocated to higher ground as part of a UNESCO-led effort to save them from flooding caused by the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Today, they are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Nubian Monuments."
After the visit, we’ll return to the cruise dock in Aswan, where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch onboard and spend another luxurious night aboard your Nile cruise.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 5: End your 5 Days Nile Cruise Holiday During Easter
After breakfast and check-out from your Nile cruise, your Egyptologist guide will meet you for an enriching tour of the charming riverside city of Aswan. Highlights include:
Aswan High Dam:
An impressive feat of modern engineering, the High Dam was constructed during the era of President Nasser to control Nile flooding and provide hydroelectric power, vital for Egypt’s development and industrial growth.
Unfinished Obelisk:
Still resting in its original quarry, this enormous obelisk offers a unique glimpse into ancient stone-carving techniques. Believed to have been commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut, the obelisk was abandoned after a crack appeared during its construction.
Temple of Philae:
Located on Philae Island in the middle of the Nile, this enchanting temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis. You'll wander through its elegant pylons, columns, and sanctuaries, learning how her cult influenced worship throughout the ancient world and beyond.
After the tour, we’ll take you to a top-rated local restaurant for lunch. Finally, we’ll transfer you to Aswan Airport, train station, or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-Day Nile Cruise Easter Holiday.
