Day 2: Witness Giza Pyramids and GEM

After breakfast, your private Egyptologist guide will meet you to begin exploring the treasures of your 12 Days Egypt Easter Vacation, starting with one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World:

Giza Pyramids Complex:

Step into history at the iconic Giza Plateau, home to the awe-inspiring pyramids built during Egypt’s 4th dynasty around 2600 BC. This remarkable open-air museum continues to amaze visitors from all over the world.

The Great Sphinx:

Guarding the pyramids is the mysterious Sphinx, carved from a single limestone block. This monumental statue, believed to represent King Chephren (2558–2532 BC), is one of the most recognized and enigmatic symbols of ancient Egypt. In front of it stands the famous Dream Stele of Thutmose IV.

The Valley Temple:

Located beside the Sphinx, the Valley Temple served as a vital place for purification and mummification rituals performed on the royal family of the 4th dynasty.

After your pyramid adventure, enjoy lunch at a restaurant with stunning views of the Pyramids or the Nile River.

The Grand Egyptian Museum:

Step into the world’s most impressive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. The Grand Egyptian Museum offers a unique journey through 5,000 years of history, art, and innovation, all under one roof.

Saqqara Step Pyramid:

Discover the very first pyramid ever built—the Step Pyramid of Djoser, constructed during the 27th century BC. Designed by the legendary architect Imhotep, this monumental structure marks the beginning of Egypt’s golden age of pyramid construction.

After a full day of sightseeing, return to your hotel in Cairo.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch.

3

Day 3: Cairo to Aswan Nile Cruise

In the morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel before our representative transfers you to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, your private Egyptologist guide will meet you to begin your exploration of Aswan’s top attractions:

The High Dam:

A modern engineering marvel, the Aswan High Dam was constructed between 1960 and 1970. It played a crucial role in controlling the Nile's annual floods, improving agriculture, and providing hydroelectric power—marking a major turning point in Egypt's economic development.

Philae Temple:

Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple is a beautifully preserved site that once stood on Philae Island. Built around 280 BC during the Ptolemaic period, it was relocated to Agilkia Island in the 1960s as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

The Unfinished Obelisk:

Located in Aswan’s granite quarries, this massive obelisk was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut but cracked during construction. It offers rare insight into ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques and would have been the largest obelisk ever erected.

After your tour, you’ll board your 5-star Nile cruise, enjoy a delicious lunch and dinner on board, and relax for the evening as the ship prepares to sail.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

4

Day 4: Abu Simbel Temples

Your adventure begins early in the morning as you receive your breakfast boxes and meet your private Egyptologist guide. You'll travel in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan to the iconic site of Abu Simbel.

Abu Simbel Temples:

These awe-inspiring temples, carved into the cliffs of southern Egypt, were built by Pharaoh Ramses II around 1200 BC. Dedicated to the gods Amun, Ptah, and Ra-Horakhty—as well as to Ramses himself—Abu Simbel stands as a powerful symbol of divine authority and military triumph, most notably the Battle of Kadesh.

After your visit, you'll return to the Nile cruise to enjoy lunch on board and continue sailing. Spend a peaceful night on the river.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

5

Day 5: Continue to Kom Ombo and Edfu

You'll meet your Egyptologist guide to begin the day's explorations:

Kom Ombo Temple:

This unique double temple, built between 108 BC and 47 BC, is dedicated to two deities: Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and Sobek, the crocodile god associated with the Nile and fertility. The temple's symmetrical design reflects its dual purpose and religious significance.

Continue sailing to witness:

Edfu Temple:

One of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, Edfu was constructed between 237 BC and 57 BC and is dedicated to Horus, the sky falcon god. The temple’s reliefs and inscriptions recount the legendary battles between Horus and Set, showcasing remarkable examples of Ptolemaic art and mythology.

You’ll continue cruising toward Luxor and spend the night aboard your Nile cruise.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

6

Day 6: Check out Cruise – Luxor East Bank

After breakfast, check out of your Nile cruise and join your Egyptologist guide to explore:

Karnak Temple:

The vast Karnak Temple Complex is the largest ancient religious site in the world. Built over 2,000 years, from the Middle Kingdom to the Greco-Roman period (circa 2000–30 BC).

It was primarily dedicated to the Theban triad: Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Spanning 247 acres, its grand pylons, massive columns, and sacred lake showcase the architectural brilliance of ancient Egypt.

Enjoy lunch at a deluxe Nile-view restaurant in Luxor before continuing to:

Luxor Temple:

Known as the Temple of Amun-Ra, Luxor Temple was built during the New Kingdom around 1400 BC by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Tutankhamun and Ramses II.

Unlike other temples, it was not dedicated to a specific god or pharaoh, but rather used for the coronation of kings and the Opet Festival, which celebrated the renewal of divine power.

After your visit, transfer to your 5-star hotel in Luxor for an overnight stay.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch.

7

Day 7: Luxor West Bank – Drive to Hurghada

After breakfast, you’ll head to Luxor’s West Bank with your private guide to continue your Egypt Easter journey and explore its ancient wonders:

Valley of the Kings:

This iconic valley served as the royal burial ground for New Kingdom pharaohs (1570–1050 BC), with 63 tombs carved into the hillsides. Among the most famous are those of Ramses II, Seti I, Tutankhamun, and Queen Hatshepsut. Each tomb reflects the grandeur and religious beliefs of ancient Egypt.

Hatshepsut Temple:

An architectural marvel built in 1479 BC, this mortuary temple honors Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most powerful female pharaohs. Designed to honor Amun, the sun god, the temple is a masterpiece of symmetry and innovation, blending seamlessly into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

Colossi of Memnon:

These two massive seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386–1349 BC) once guarded the entrance of his now-ruined mortuary temple. Standing 18 meters tall, they have endured centuries of Nile floods and earthquakes.

After your exploration, enjoy lunch on a scenic Nile island. Then, travel by private A/C vehicle to Hurghada, where you’ll check in to a 5-star hotel for an overnight stay.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
