Day 1: Explore Luxor East Bank
Your 2 Day Luxor Tour begins as your personal Egyptologist greets you at Luxor Airport and escorts you to the most famous historical sites on Luxor’s East Bank, starting with one of Egypt’s greatest religious complexes.
Karnak Temple:
The Temple of Karnak, known as “Ipet-isu” or “the most select of places” in ancient Egypt, is a vast city of temples built over nearly 2,000 years and dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Even in its ruined state, Karnak can overshadow many wonders of the modern world.
Covering about 200 acres, it was a major pilgrimage center, and the sacred enclosure of Amun alone is large enough to contain several European cathedrals. Walking through its hypostyle halls and colossal columns, you’ll feel why this complex was seen as a true home of Egyptian gods and Goddesses. Then, continue our 2 Day Luxor Itinerary with a visit to Luxor Temple.
Luxor Temple:
Luxor Temple, called “Ipet-resyt” or “the Southern Sanctuary,” lies about three kilometers south of Karnak and was once connected to it by a sphinx-lined processional avenue.
Dating back to the Eighteenth Dynasty, the temple is unusual in that it is not aligned on an east–west axis, but oriented toward Karnak. It was the main stage for the Opet Festival, when the cult statues of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu were carried in grand procession from Karnak to Luxor Temple, renewing the king’s divine power.
After your sightseeing on the East Bank, you’ll enjoy lunch at a delightful local restaurant, then be transferred to your 5★ hotel in Luxor to check in, relax, and spend the night.

Day 2: Luxor West Bank – End of Trip
Wake up to a delicious hotel breakfast, then join your tour guide to continue your Luxor East and West Bank Tour by exploring the most famous sites on Luxor’s West Bank.
Colossi of Memnon:
The two towering Colossi of Memnon, originally representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, rise about 18 meters above the plain and are the first monuments many visitors see on the West Bank.
Each statue was carved from a single block of stone weighing around 1,000 tons and once stood at the entrance to the pharaoh’s grand funerary temple, the largest on the West Bank. Ongoing excavations behind the colossi are revealing more of this impressive complex.
Valley of the Kings:
The Valley of the Kings, tucked into the hills behind Deir el-Bahari, served as the burial ground for the pharaohs of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties, from Thutmose I to Ramses X. This narrow desert valley contains over 60 tombs, each with its own layout and decoration.
Many of the tombs still preserve vivid wall paintings depicting the journey to the afterlife. In 1979, the Valley of the Kings was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of ancient Thebes.
You’ll then enjoy an oriental lunch at a Nile-view restaurant. Then, proceed on our 2-day Luxor Trip, visiting one of Egypt’s most remarkable mortuary temples.
Queen Hatshepsut Temple:
Queen Hatshepsut, the woman who became pharaoh, built her magnificent temple at Deir el-Bahari on Luxor’s West Bank, directly across the Nile from Karnak.
Known as “Djeser-djeseru” or “the Holy of Holies,” the temple was designed by her architect Senenmut with elegant terraces, colonnades, and chapels carved into the cliffs. It celebrates Hatshepsut’s divine birth, trading expeditions, and close connection with the god Amun.
After finishing your visits, you will be escorted to Luxor Airport to catch your departure flight and conclude your 2 Day Luxor Tour.
