Day 1: Arrival in Aswan & Nile Cruise Check-In

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan to begin your 4 Days Nile Cruise Family Tour Package. Your guide will accompany you as you start the day’s sightseeing with visits to the following highlights:

The High Dam:

Built during the reign of President Gamal Abdel Nasser in the 1960s and early 1970s, the High Dam was constructed to control the annual Nile floods and generate hydroelectric power. Its construction led to the creation of Lake Nasser, one of the largest artificial reservoirs in the world.

The Unfinished Obelisk:

The Great Unfinished Obelisk was carved during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC). It was intended to stand in Karnak Temple as the largest obelisk ever built, reaching a height of 41.75 meters. However, the work was abandoned due to cracks discovered in the stone.

Philae Temple:

Philae Temple tells the inspiring story of the goddess Isis and was originally built during the Ptolemaic period between 380–362 BC. The temple was later relocated to Agilika Island to protect it from the rising waters of the Nile.

After finishing your visits, lunch will be served at a local Egyptian restaurant.

In the evening, you will transfer to your Nile cruise ship to check in and enjoy dinner onboard.

Day 2: Kom Ombo Temple & Relaxing Nile Sailing

After breakfast on the second day of your 4 days Egypt Family Nile Cruise, your private guide will accompany you to visit one of the most distinctive temples along the Nile.

Kom Ombo Temple:

Kom Ombo Temple was built during the reign of King Ptolemy VI, with its decoration completed later during the Roman period. The temple shares many architectural features with other Ptolemaic temples, yet it is unique for being dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god.

After completing your visit, lunch will be served onboard the cruise ship.

In the evening, dinner is served, followed by free time to relax and enjoy a peaceful night onboard.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Edfu Temple & Scenic Cruise Toward Luxor

Continue your Egypt Family Holiday by enjoying breakfast in the morning, then your private guide will accompany you to visit one of the most impressive temples along the Nile.

Edfu Temple:

The Temple of Edfu, also known as the Temple of Horus, is considered one of the largest and best-preserved temples in Ancient Egypt. It is located in the city of Edfu in Upper Egypt on the west bank of the Nile River and represents one of the last major temple-building efforts of the Ptolemaic period.

The temple was dedicated to the god Horus, known as the falcon of the sky. Its large walls and columns are covered with hieroglyphic carvings that tell inspiring mythological stories and scenes from ancient beliefs.

Visitors from all over the world admire Edfu Temple for its remarkable architecture, detailed reliefs, and well-preserved structure.

After completing your visit, lunch will be served on board the cruise ship. In the evening, dinner is served, followed by time to relax and enjoy a peaceful night onboard.

Day 4: Luxor Highlights & Disembarkation

After breakfast, check out of the cruise and meet your private guide to continue your 4 Days Nile Cruise Family Tour Package with a full day of sightseeing in Luxor.

Karnak Temple:

The Karnak Temple in Luxor is one of the largest and most impressive religious complexes in the world, spanning over 100 hectares. Dedicated mainly to the god Amun-Ra, the complex also includes temples honoring Mut and Khonsu.

Construction began during the Middle Kingdom around 2000 BC and continued through the Ptolemaic period. Visitors can explore massive pylons, vast courtyards, and the famous Hypostyle Hall, featuring 134 towering columns adorned with intricate carvings and hieroglyphics. The site also features the Sacred Lake, used for purification rituals, and the grand Avenue of Sphinxes that once linked Karnak to Luxor Temple.

Valley of the Kings:

Located on the west bank of the Nile, the Valley of the Kings served as the royal burial ground for nearly 500 years during the New Kingdom. The valley contains around 63 tombs and chambers, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. Richly decorated with wall paintings and inscriptions, the tombs reveal ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife and the care taken to protect the pharaohs’ final resting places.

Queen Hatshepsut Temple:

The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari is a remarkable architectural achievement from the 18th Dynasty. Designed by her architect Senenmut, the temple blends beautifully into the cliffs of the Theban mountains. Its terraces, colonnades, and reliefs honor the god Amun and illustrate scenes from Hatshepsut’s divine birth and reign, highlighting her lasting cultural legacy.

Colossi of Memnon:

The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues standing on the west bank of the Nile near Luxor. Each statue rises about 18 meters high and represents Pharaoh Amenhotep III, once guarding his mortuary temple. Although the temple itself was destroyed over time, the statues remain impressive and are famous for the ancient “singing” phenomenon reported at dawn.

Lunch will be served at a local Egyptian restaurant.

After finishing your tour, you will be driven back to your hotel in Aswan.
