Aswan High Dam:The High Dam in Aswan is regarded as one of the best-known wonders in Egypt. It is fed by the Nile, and the reservoir forms of Lake Nasser. The dam is placed on the northern border between Egypt and Sudan. The construction of the project started in 1960 till 1970, when it was officially opened by former President Gamal Abdul Nasser.
The Unfinished Obelisk:The obelisk structure is the largest even in Egypt which would have stood 140 feet in height. The Unfinished Obelisk was carved from the red Aswan granite that decorated most of Egypt’s wonderful monuments. It’s the greatest of Egypt’s milestones; however, it was never completed. The obelisk was abandoned after a flaw in the structure was found out. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut during the 15th century BC.
