The temple is dedicated to Horus, the god of the sky and war. The construction process took almost 200 years, and it was finally completed during the reign of Ptolemy XII in 57 BC.

Valley of the Kings:

The Valley of the Kings is a unique and fascinating archaeological site, as it is the final resting place of many pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Hatshepsut. The valley was used for burials for over 500 years, with the last known tomb being that of Pharaoh Ramses XI. 

Colossi of Memnon:

The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood in front of Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple.
