4 Days Cairo Christmas Tour – Pyramids & Nile Dinner Cruise

After breakfast, spend the day visiting the Giza Pyramids Complex and the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The Great Pyramid of Khufu:

The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the last surviving structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Admire its extraordinary scale and engineering from the Giza Plateau before continuing to the main sites. Admission to the Giza Plateau is included; entering the Great Pyramid is an optional activity with a separate ticket.

The Great Sphinx:

Visit the Great Sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a king. The monument stands on the Giza Plateau near the pyramids and symbolizes strength and protection.

The Valley Temple:

Continue to the Valley Temple, associated with Khafre’s pyramid complex and ancient royal funerary rituals. Its massive granite blocks and halls offer a glimpse into Egypt’s spiritual traditions.

The Grand Egyptian Museum:

You continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) to explore its collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and royal objects, including the treasures of Tutankhamun, massive royal statues and monumental artifacts. Entrance fees to the museum are included, and the visit follows the museum’s available entry schedule.

After sightseeing, have lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast, visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, then continue to the Citadel, Old Cairo, and Khan El Khalili.

The Egyptian Museum (Tahrir):

Start the day at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, which houses collections covering more than 5,000 years of Egyptian history, including animal mummies, royal objects, gold objects and pharaonic artifacts.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization:

Continue to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), home to the Royal Mummies Hall and collections covering different periods of Egyptian civilization.

Mohamed Ali Mosque & Saladin Citadel:

Visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, built within the historic citadel complex. The mosque rises above the city skyline, and the citadel offers sweeping views of Cairo in the winter light.

Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque:

Continue to Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, the first mosque ever built in Egypt. Its simple architecture reflects centuries of devotion.

The Hanging Church:

Visit the Hanging Church, one of Egypt’s oldest churches, with its wooden ceiling, ancient icons and peaceful atmosphere. Coptic Christmas Eve falls on 6 January and Christmas Day on 7 January. The tour does not include attendance at a Christmas service.

Ben Ezra Synagogue:

Visit Ben Ezra Synagogue, a historic Jewish site in Old Cairo that forms part of the area’s Islamic, Coptic, and Jewish heritage. Its distinctive architecture and centuries-old history reflect Cairo’s multicultural past.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar:

Conclude the sightseeing at Khan El Khalili, a practical stop for souvenirs and gifts during the holiday trip. Explore its winding alleys, colorful lanterns and handcrafted souvenirs, and enjoy Cairo’s lively winter atmosphere.

After Your Tour

After the tour, have lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant before returning to your hotel.
