The Great Pyramid of Giza:

Built by Pharaoh Khufu in 2560 BC, it is the last remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Great Sphinx:

A monumental statue with the body of a lion and head of a pharaoh, believed to be King Chephren. It is 73 meters long and 20 meters tall, making it the oldest colossal sculpture in Egypt.

The Valley Temple:

A central place for mummification and purification rituals, this temple reflects the spiritual and cultural richness of Egypt’s Old Kingdom.

Saqqara Step Pyramid:

The first pyramid ever built in Egypt, constructed for Pharaoh Djoser around 2670 BC. This six-tiered structure stands 63 meters tall and represents the earliest large-scale cut stone construction.

Memphis City:

Day 3: Witness Aswan High Dam and Philae

After breakfast at your hotel in Aswan, begin the third day of your 9 Days Egypt Tour Package with a private guided tour to discover the highlights of Aswan in a modern A/C vehicle. Today’s visits include:

Philae Temple:

Dedicated to the goddess Isis, this majestic temple showcases the finest classical architecture of the Greco-Roman era. Construction began under Ptolemy II (3rd century BC) and was completed by later Roman emperors. The temple was relocated to Agilkia Island to save it from flooding during the High Dam construction.

The High Dam:

Built in the 1960s under President Gamal Abdel Nasser, the Aswan High Dam is one of Egypt’s most ambitious modern achievements. It protects Egypt from Nile floods and supplies essential hydroelectric power across the country.

The Unfinished Obelisk:

This massive red granite obelisk was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC), but it was abandoned due to cracks discovered in the rock. Still lying in its original quarry, the monument offers unique insight into ancient stone-carving techniques.

After exploring these remarkable sites, enjoy a delicious lunch at a Nile-view restaurant. Then return to your hotel for an evening at leisure and an overnight stay in Aswan.

The main and largest structure belongs to the pharaoh himself, and its walls depict the king’s victory at the Battle of Kadesh in 1247 BC. The smaller temple was dedicated to his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.

Following your visit, we’ll drive you back to Aswan, where you will enjoy lunch at a quality local restaurant before heading to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
