Giza Pyramid Complex:
The Giza Pyramid Complex, or Giza Necropolis, is home to the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. It is the most famous architectural complex in the world.
This incredible site was built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt. In addition to the pyramids, the complex includes temples, tombs, and other monuments, making it one of the most visited destinations by tourists and historians alike.
The Great Pyramid of Khufu:
The Great Pyramid is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was constructed by Pharaoh Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty and held the title of the tallest man-made structure in the world for centuries.
Its primary purpose was to serve as a royal tomb for the pharaoh. The pyramid was originally covered in polished white limestone and crowned with a golden pyramidion.
The Great Sphinx:
The Great Sphinx is a mythical statue located at Giza. It was commissioned by King Khafre of the Fourth Dynasty to represent himself and serve as the guardian of the pyramid complex.
Carved from a single massive block of limestone, the Sphinx has the body of a lion and the face of a man wearing a royal headdress—symbolizing the power and strength of ancient Egypt.
The Valley Temple:
The Valley Temple, located near the Nile and adjacent to the Temple of the Great Sphinx, was constructed for King Khafre. It served as the royal site for the mummification and purification of kings and queens, whose remains and inscriptions were found within.
The temple was connected to Khafre’s pyramid and the Sphinx by a causeway known as the procession route.
Saqqara Step Pyramid:
The Saqqara Step Pyramid was designed by Imhotep, the most renowned and skilled architect of ancient Egypt, for King Djoser during the Third Dynasty. It is recognized as the first pyramid built in Egypt.
This innovative structure consists of six massive steps, or mastabas, and stands as a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of ancient Egyptian architecture and engineering.
You will then proceed to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
The Grand Egyptian Museum:
The (GEM), located near the Giza Pyramid Complex, is set to become the largest archaeological museum in the world. It will house a vast collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities, including the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun—many of which have never been publicly displayed before.
The museum will feature state-of-the-art technology and interactive displays designed to enrich the visitor experience and deepen understanding of Egypt’s cultural heritage. GEM is intended to serve as a major cultural and educational destination, attracting visitors from around the globe.
Finally, we will transport you back to your hotel in Cairo.
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
Day 3: Cairo to Aswan Nile Cruise
On the 3rd day of your 12 Days Egypt Vacation, you will catch your flight to Aswan, where your private guide will be waiting to accompany you to the top sights of the city, including:
The High Dam:
Also known as the Aswan High Dam, this remarkable structure spans the Nile River near the city of Aswan. Completed in 1970, the dam was built to control flooding, store water for irrigation, and generate hydroelectric power.
The High Dam marked a turning point in Egypt’s modern infrastructure and has played a crucial role in the nation’s economic development and agricultural sustainability.
Philae Temple:
Philae Temple is a historic temple complex renowned for its beautiful architecture and deep cultural significance. Originally located on Philae Island, it was relocated to Agilika Island to save it from submersion after the construction of the High Dam.
Dedicated to the goddess Isis, the temple served as a major center of worship during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods. Today, it stands as a symbol of Egypt’s commitment to preserving its ancient heritage.
The Unfinished Obelisk:
Located in the northern stone quarries of Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk offers a unique glimpse into ancient Egyptian stone-working techniques. Its construction was abandoned when cracks appeared in the granite, making it unsuitable for completion.
Despite being unfinished, the monument reveals the remarkable craftsmanship and ambition of ancient Egyptian artisans and remains a fascinating site for historians and visitors alike.
After exploring Aswan’s remarkable highlights, you will check into a luxurious 5-star Nile Cruise, where you will spend the night aboard.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 4: Temples of Abu Simbel
Breakfast boxes will be provided, and your personal Egyptologist will accompany you on a drive to Abu Simbel to witness:
Abu Simbel Temple:
The Abu Simbel Temple complex, located in southern Egypt near the Nile River, was built during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC. This iconic site consists of two impressive temples carved into the mountainside.
The larger temple is dedicated to Ramses II himself and features colossal statues of the pharaoh, while the smaller temple honors the goddess Hathor and Queen Nefertari.
These temples are renowned for their grandeur, mystery, and the incredible engineering achievement involved in their relocation during the 1960s to save them from submersion caused by the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
After your visit, you will return to your Nile Cruise in Aswan to begin sailing and spend the night onboard.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 5: Sail to Kom Ombo and Edfu
As part of your 12 Days Cairo, Hurghada, Nile Cruise & Siwa Oasis Tour, you will join your guide to explore:
Kom Ombo Temple:
Kom Ombo Temple, located on the banks of the Nile in Upper Egypt, is an impressive archaeological site built during the Ptolemaic Dynasty and later expanded during the Roman Period.
This unique temple is dedicated to two ancient Egyptian deities: Sobek, the Crocodile God, and Horus, the Falcon of the Sky—which gives the temple its distinct dual design and global recognition.
Temple of Edfu:
The magnificent Temple of Edfu, situated on the west bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt, is one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples and a prime example of Greco-Roman architectural brilliance.
Constructed during the Ptolemaic Dynasty between 237 and 57 BC, the temple was dedicated to Horus, the Falcon God.
After your visit, your cruise ship will continue sailing to Luxor, where you will spend the night onboard.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6: Luxor Tour - Luxor to Hurghada
Check out after breakfast, and your guide will escort you to witness:
Karnak Temple:
Karnak Temple in Luxor is one of the most famous and expansive religious complexes in the world, covering over 100 hectares. It was primarily dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, but also includes sanctuaries for other deities such as Mut and Khonsu.
Construction began during the Middle Kingdom around 2000 BC and continued through the Ptolemaic Period, with contributions from numerous pharaohs. Visitors can explore monumental pylons, vast courtyards, and the iconic hypostyle hall, which contains 134 massive columns adorned with intricate carvings and hieroglyphs.
The complex also features the Sacred Lake, used for ritual purification, and the impressive Avenue of Sphinxes that once connected Karnak to Luxor Temple.
Valley of the Kings:
Located on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor, the Valley of the Kings served as the royal burial ground for nearly 500 years during the New Kingdom period. The necropolis includes 63 tombs and chambers, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun.
The tombs are richly decorated with wall paintings and inscriptions that reveal the ancient Egyptians' beliefs about the afterlife. The layout and hidden entrances reflect efforts to protect the pharaohs' final resting places from tomb robbers.
Although many tombs were looted in antiquity, the surviving treasures continue to impress archaeologists and visitors.
Queen Hatshepsut Temple:
The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari is a stunning testament to her reign during the 18th Dynasty. Designed by her architect Senenmut, the temple is carved into the cliffs of the Theban mountains and blends beautifully with the surrounding landscape.
The temple features open courtyards, colonnades, and sanctuaries primarily honoring the god Amun. Its walls are adorned with detailed reliefs depicting Hatshepsut’s divine birth, coronation, and achievements, symbolizing her powerful legacy in ancient Egyptian history.
Colossi of Memnon:
The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues standing approximately 18 meters high on the west bank of the Nile near Luxor. They depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III and once guarded the entrance to his mortuary temple.
Although the temple itself has mostly been destroyed, the statues remain largely intact. In antiquity, one statue was said to "sing" at dawn, producing a mysterious sound that fascinated travelers. Today, they remain iconic symbols of ancient Egyptian grandeur.

The Egyptian Museum:
Located in Tahrir Square, the Egyptian Museum houses the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
Opened in 1902 with a grand ceremony, the museum holds over 120,000 pieces, including the treasures of Tutankhamun, royal mummies, ancient jewelry, and artifacts from the Predynastic Period through the Greco-Roman Era.
A delightful lunch awaits you at a local restaurant. Then continue your tour with a visit to:
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization:
Located in Cairo, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization offers a complete overview of Egypt's history from prehistoric times to the modern era.
Opened in 2017, the museum features a wide array of artifacts, with a particular highlight being the Royal Mummies Hall, which houses the mummies of famous pharaohs, transferred in a globally televised parade in 2021.
The museum blends modern presentation techniques with historical artifacts to showcase the richness and continuity of Egypt’s heritage.
Salah El-Din Citadel:
Also known as the Citadel of Cairo, this great Islamic fortress was constructed by Salah El-Din (Saladin) between 1176 and 1183 to defend the city against Crusader attacks. It later became the seat of government and residence of Egypt’s rulers for centuries.
The citadel is famous for its striking architecture, including the Muhammad Ali Mosque, and offers panoramic views of Cairo.
Mohammed Ali Mosque:
Situated within the Citadel, the Mohammed Ali Mosque—also known as the Alabaster Mosque—was built between 1830 and 1848 by Muhammad Ali Pasha, the founder of modern Egypt.
This prominent Ottoman-style mosque features a large central dome, twin minarets, and lavish alabaster decoration. It serves both as a functioning place of worship and a symbol of Egypt’s modernization, offering stunning views over the city.
Khan El-Khalili Bazaar:
Located in the heart of Islamic Cairo, Khan El-Khalili is a historic bazaar dating back to the 14th century. Known for its narrow alleys and traditional shops, the souq is a bustling hub of culture and commerce.
Visitors can shop for jewelry, spices, textiles, antiques, and souvenirs, all while soaking in the atmosphere of one of Cairo’s most treasured historical sites.
After the tour, you will check in at a 5-star hotel in Cairo to spend the night.
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
Day 10: The White Desert & Bahariya Oasis
As your 12-day Egypt desert and cultural adventure continues, your personal guide will drive you in a 4x4 Land Cruiser to explore the wonders of the Western Desert:
Bahariya Oasis:
Located about 200 miles southwest of Cairo, Bahariya Oasis serves as a key starting point for many desert safari trips, offering direct access to the stunning landscapes of the White Desert. The oasis is surrounded by black volcanic hills and quartz-rich rock formations.
Bahariya is lush with date palms and various fruit trees, including guava, mango, and olive. It comprises five villages—Mariya, El Qasr, Zabu, Al Heiz, and Bawiti, the capital.
The name “Bahariya” derives from the Arabic word Bahr (meaning "sea"), as this region was once submerged under the Mediterranean Sea millions of years ago.
The Black Desert:
Situated near Bahariya Oasis, the Black Desert lies to the north of the White Desert. It earned its name from the blanket of black basalt and volcanic rock that covers its mountain peaks—remnants of ancient volcanic activity.
The area also contains red hills composed of ferruginous sandstone, rich in iron minerals, which give the landscape a captivating reddish hue. The contrast of dark peaks against golden sand creates a dramatic desert scene that draws photographers, geologists, and explorers alike.
El Heiz Village
Located on the edge of the Black Desert, El Heiz Village gets its name from the dark stones that dot its surface like burnt breadcrumbs. These stones include Oligocene iron pyrite and black basalt from the Miocene era, forming the top crust over sandstone layers.
The village is also home to the ruins of Qasr Masuda, a Roman fortress that once guarded trade routes through the Western Desert—an important military outpost in its time.
After lunch, you will head out to witness:
Valley of Agabat
Known as the Valley of Wonders, Agabat lies within the Western Desert and is a breathtaking stop on the way to Bahariya. Though smaller than Bahariya, it features striking limestone cliffs, unusual rock formations, and steep mountainsides.
The terrain is rugged, and the summer heat is extreme, which explains the absence of settlements. Centuries ago, the valley held a riverbed, oddly shaped by nature to push water upward rather than downward. Its white limestone formations mirror those of the White Desert, making it a visual extension of that surreal landscape.
White Desert:
The iconic White Desert is a national protectorate and one of Egypt’s most surreal natural wonders. Located about 500 km from Cairo between the oases of Bahariya and Farafra, the desert covers roughly 300 km².
Once the floor of an ancient ocean, the White Desert is now home to otherworldly chalk and limestone formations shaped by millions of years of wind and erosion. Rock shapes resemble mushrooms, towers, animals, and the famous "Devil’s Table."
You will end the day camping under the stars in the heart of the desert.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 11: Visit Crystal Mountain & Back to Cairo
In the morning, our guide will join you to visit:
Crystal Mountain:
Crystal Mountain, located about 160 km from Bahariya Oasis, is one of the White Desert’s most striking natural wonders and a true gem of the Farafra Oasis. This unique formation consists of hills made up of over a dozen types of crystal-like stones, mainly metamorphosed calcite, creating a breathtaking visual display.
Famous for its shimmering appearance, Crystal Mountain is considered one of the most attractive sites in the White Desert Reserve. Its rare beauty and geological uniqueness make it a must-see destination for travelers.
After the visit, we will return to Cairo, where you’ll check in at a 5-star hotel for your final overnight stay.
Meals: Breakfast.
